Untitled

Through Harkness halls you flyRavendark hair, flashing eyesAs friends among friends we laughYou’ll never see how I see you

Often together but as farAs when Byzantines saw the ruinsOf Old Romans and ponderedYears and stade after endless stade

Your eyes wing to himYour smiles on him alightYou dance like no one is watchingBecause he is

He is yours and you are hisI will find my own when we partBut forgive me the secret dreamOf Caesar and Theodora laughing
