There Go Those Gays Again
Gays are starting to marry everywhere now, despite the protests of many “family” oriented groups and constitutional backers. First it was Massachusetts and the Goodridge decision, and then San Francisco and a New York town started issuing marriage licenses. Now the marrying epidemic has spread to Oregon, where officials in Multnomah County issued dozens of marriage licenses on Wednesday after determining Oregon law permits such licensing, according to the Associated Press.Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Diane Linn directed the issuing of such licenses after consulting with the county attorney. Said Commissioner Lisa Naito, as reported by the Associated Press, “We will not allow discrimination to continue when the constitution of the state of Oregon grants privileges equally to all citizens.”
