HLS Lambda applauds Dean Kagan and HLS for immediately resuming full enforcement of the school’s nondiscrimination policy in the wake of the Third Circuit’s holding that the Solomon Amendment likely violates the First Amendment. The school’s actions help to return Harvard to its appropriate position as a national leader on civil rights and represent a reaffirmation of our community’s commitment to equal opportunity and nondiscrimination for all students.
We invite all members of the HLS community to come to the Hark today (12/9) from 11-2 to sign a card to Dean Kagan expressing thanks for her swift and forceful announcement of support for equality and nondiscrimination.
