HLS alum honored for 100 years of Red Sox fever

On April 25th, the day before his 100th birthday, Arthur Giddon ’35 was the honorary batboy for the Red Sox, in recognition of a lifetime of devotion to Boston sports. In 1922 and 1923, Giddon was the batboy for the Boston Braves, the old National League franchise. At the urging of baseball’s first commissioner, Kennesaw Mountain Landis, he attended Harvard Law School. During his career, Giddon spent time in the United States Navy (during World War II), in private practice, and as the chief Public Defender in Hartford, Connecticut.
