Clouding the waters

As a Christian, I am appealing to Justice for Palestine to please refrain from accusing faculty of “crucify[ing]” pretenses during the Passover/Easter season in future statements. Not only does this defamatory language smack of blatant anti-Semitism, but it is disturbingly irreverent of an event that is sacred to Christians all over the world. The past few decades have witnessed great strides of dialogue and reconciliation in the Jewish and Christian communities. I was personally appalled that Justice for Palestine would unabashedly attempt to reignite painful flames of ethnic bigotry and religious misunderstanding in its critique of Professor Alan Dershowitz. This reference was an insult to two enduring traditions, and I believe we all deserve an apology for such reckless insensitivity.
