I am not writing this for publication, but to ask that you please forward my name and e-mail address to “John Smith” in case he wants to get in touch with me. I would like him to know that he is not alone, and is not the only transsexual ever to go to Harvard Law School: I graduated in 1979 (although I’m considered Class of 1978), and practiced law as a man for 26 years. After a lifetime of struggle, and after a gender transition process that took many years, I have now, as of three days ago, transitioned at my law firm; I am now living and working full-time in my correct gender.
